Routines and Activities
(Guidelines for a typical session)
All session timetables are flexible to allow for spontaneous play. Children's choices take precedence over planned activities. |

| 9.15 | 1.00 | Registration and explanation of activities |
| 9.30 | 1.15 | Free choice of activities - including planned adult-led activities such as cooking, craft, junk modelling etc and free play such as painting, playdough, puzzles, books, construction and physical activities. |
| 9.45 | 1.30 | Open Snack Bar - Children choose when to have a drink and healthy eating snack, such as fruit, toast, sandwiches made by themselves or raw vagetables. We ask all parents to provide one piece of fruit per week. |
| 11.00 | 2.45 | Mid-Morning Time - Firstly children tidy up all play areas before sitting and listening to stories, tapes, each other, sing songs or discover shapes and numbers in the room. |
| 11.15 | 3.00 | Children return to both adult-led and free play activities. Adult-led activities are adapted to meet the children's individual needs. |
| 11.35 | 3.20 | Tidy up Time. Everyone helps to tidy away toys and activities. |
| 11.45 | 3.30 | End of Session Time. This may include singing, physical activities including dance and the parachute, musical instruments, or imagination games. |
| 12.15 | 4.00 | The children sing our 'Going Home' song and are then collect from the mat inside by their parent/carer. |
