Southwater Village Hall Pre-School
Welcome to Southwater Village Hall Pre-School
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope it will give you an overview of what our Pre-School can offer, but the best way to find out more is to come and see us during session time – appointments not necessary.
Southwater Village Hall Pre-School opened as a charity in June 1974. It is still the only non-profit making pre-school in the village of Southwater. We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, a national body dedicated to the provision of childcare. We are registered with Ofsted Early Years Directorate and with W.S.C.C for free entitlement funding to ensure national standards are adhered to.
Carol Fossick , Trustee and Chairperson of the Preschool Committee says ”It is a great pleasure to say ‘CONGRATULATIONS’ to all our staff and children as in the recent inspection at the end of 2011 the Preschool was again recognised as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted. Only 10% of preschools reach this standard and so it is something of which we are very proud, especially as the inspectors never give warning that they are coming so at any time the staff have to ready to welcome them and answer their questions.”
We currently operate from two halls within the Village Hall. We are registered with Ofsted for up to 42 children.
We have a small, fenced, outdoor play area for our use and also access to the local playground and field, where the children may be taken, with your consent.
